Schools and Communities United is a coalition to defend and improve our public schools, building upon the legacies and historic victories of public education and civil rights activists. The coalition is comprised of community, educator, civic, student, labor and religious organizations. Please contact us if your organization would like to be a member.
The coalition is committed to a long-term, multi-pronged approach that frames issues as part of a broader progressive agenda. We hosted a huge statewide event in Milwaukee on May 17th, the 60th Anniversary of the Brown vs. the Board of Education decision. Currently we are working on community canvassing sessions to work with our friends and neighbors to turn out to vote for candidates who not only favor but will work to promote and invest in strong public schools and health communities for our children.
